may I know what do you call this in Navision Server?
This called "Services" which intermediate between the client & database.
When client request for the particular request to access the data that request first send to the service and service will connect with database and
get response from the database for particular request.After that service send request data to client(RTC).

To me it looks like "instances".
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I doubt that should be called instances, as there are already Database Instances under Database.
The name of my database instances differs very much from the blue icons.
OK its maybe not the best naming, but you can see by right clicking that to add to the list is captioned "Add Instance":
This would be Nav(ision) Server Instance (NST), or Middle Tier, or other people may have other names as well.
The Database Instance in settings actually refers to the SQL Server Instance. Some of the naming is many years old so it is true that some elements may have been given different names if they were named today.
