We are getting ready to open our second hobby store (Yay for us!) and I want to create a sales projection model based on current customers. Many of our current customers travel 20-25 minutes, from the direction where the new store will be.
We currently use Microsoft Dynamics RMS 2.0.2000 in the store. We want to be able to run a report that gives me their First Name, Last Name, Account Number, Total Sales within a Specified Date Range, Total Number of Visits within that same Date Range, the Customer's Zip Code, and their E-mail Address.I do not know how to "create" my own query in RMS Administrator, but I have had others create the code for me, at which time I can get it into Administrator and run it from there. Is someone willing to lend a small business a hand? We are VERY excited at this future opportunity, but want to make sure we have a reasonable sales projection model.
Thanks in advance,

Hi Rob and congrats on opening the 2nd location! Do you have access to Crystal Reports (or someone who knows how to create custom/memorized reports in SQL)? The report that you need can be created using Crystal Reports or a similar database tool very easily. This is something that your Microsoft Dynamics RMS Partner should be able to do for you as well for a nominal charge. If you do not have a Microsoft Dynamics RMS Partner, then our tech team at RITE would be happy to assist you: 888-267-7483. Please let me know if I can be of furether assistance. Thanks!
Run Store Operations Manager > Reports > Customer > List.
Click OK to run report then select Show/Hide Columns icon in report toolbar to enable the columns you'd like shown. You can also filter by date range of Last Visit.
To further manipulate the data in Excel select the Export icon in the toolbar.
Hi Robert.
The Customer list report has a "static" info on Total Sales or Total visits. Meaning is reading only the Customer table, where You only have Customer generic data and accumulated sales data...
If You want to achieve this info within a specific range dates, You (or a RMS Partner) will need to modify a Sales report, probably the Detailed sales report, extend it with Customer data and keep an filter based on Transaction Date, to sum the totals and visits… It is not hard, but few hours of work is needed for sure. I would also recommend You talk to an RMS Partner to do this for you, if You are not familiar with SQL and the RMS tables...
Best regards, A.
