My company just switched to Dynamics from Salesforce and I have no idea how to use it. I am logged in as an admin but all the fields (sales pipeline, leads, etc.) say no data available. I am in marketing and need to export the contacts for the entire company, but I don't know where to find them. Please help!
Did you migrate all the data from the Salesforce solution? Sounds like data is missing, as you would be able to see all data as an administrator.
Try navigating to Contacts (in the left-hand menu if you have Unified Interface or under Dynamics 365 - > Sales in the top menu if you are using classic interface. Click on where it says "My active contacts" and change the filter to Active Contacts instead. If zero results are returned, you simply don't have any contacts in Dynamics.
In order to choose which columns you get when you export contacts, click on the funnel icon in the top right corner when looking at the "Active Contacts" view. In the advanced find window that pops up, select "Edit columns" to add or remove columns. When satisfied, click Results in the advanced find window and export the contacts.
