I have several custom views on the Products entity (each one filters Products that belong to a particular Product family) and I'm using them in the Quote's form.
Since this week, the behaviour of those fields changed when working with the new User Interface.
When I click on the magnifying glass, I see the Recent récords, instead of the récords filtered by the corresponding view.
To try to solve this, I went customized the form, and checked, for all these lookup fields the following properties:
After doing so, I do no longer see the Recent records in the lookup fields, but:
1. If I hit Enter on the keyboard, then I see the custom view with my filtered records
2. If I click on the magnifying glass icon at the end of the lookup field, I see nothing, no recent records, no custom view
Is there anything else I hve to change to be able to see my custom views in the lookup fields? Our users work with the mouse and having them to hit Enter on each lookup field is frankly anoying.
Thanks for your help!
This is Behavior is by Design post wave 2 release .
However lot of people seem to have not liked this and hence Microsoft is thinking about having a way to interactively switch between search/browse and recent views within the Lookup dropdown itself.
But this thing would definitely take time May be next wave release .
Thanks for your reply, Pradeep!
Honestly, I find it hard to understand that Microsoft considers it an "enhancement" the fact that the filtered views are not considered anymore in the magnifying glass and forcing users to go clicking Enter on all lookup fields in the form :(
