A few days ago I wrote a post on my blog about how you can follow emails inside Dynamics 365 using Email Engagement and to my surprise it is not possible to follow links that are inserted using Email Templates in Dynamics 365. Do you have any idea why this is and if Microsoft is planning on updating this feature? For more information check out my blog post and video Tracking opens and clicks of Dynamics 365 emails.------------------------------Illugi HjaltalínDynamics 365 CE ConsultantStirna------------------------------
Could you provide an example?
Sure, the example I give in my blog where I insert a template to an email message that is followed but the link does not get updated.
The email engagement follow feature tracks link opens by adding a tracking token to the URL. When I insert an email template that already contains a link it appears that this functionality does not cover this scenario.
For a better understanding of the scenario or situation where this occurs, check out my video on Stirna's website: stirna.is/.../
