There are two types of accounting that take place in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3 when an accounting entry is generated for a product receipt or a vendor invoice that contains stocked items.
In AX 2012 R3, the resulting accounting entries from both processes are created by using the same subledger entry journal and voucher, so that only one voucher is created.
Accounting entries that add up to 0 (zero) for Purchase expenditure, un-invoiced will not be transferred to the general ledger. Accounting entries that add up to 0 (zero) for Purchase, inventory receipt willbe transferred to the general ledger in a single zero-amount accounting entry. This entry will represent the profit and loss relationship when sales tax is applicable, and therefore will be used in tax specification reports.
