Microsoft Development on the Prairie discuss topics relevant to my work as a Test Architect on Microsoft Dynamics AX and based in Fargo. The predominant topic in the near term will be testing related topics for the Dynamics AX ecosystem, although some of these test posts apply more broadly to Dynamics and beyond. The blog will occasionally delve into development process topics (Agile development in particular) and topics related to the Fargo site.
Just a quick post to let you know that we have a number of open development positions at our Fargo location. In particular, we are looking to fill a number of Software Design Engineer in Test positions, including a couple on my team.
Why should you be thinking about this, you ask? Well, I like to think of Microsoft Fargo as the best kept software development secret in the Upper Midwest. I don’t know where else you can find a better combination of impactful and challenging work and a great company to work for in this part of the country – Minneapolis / St. Paul (where I moved from), Milwaukee, and Chicago included!. Being able to do it in an area renowned for its high quality of life is a huge bonus. You can read about my journey here in my five year old post, Move to Fargo?!?! You have to be kidding… You can learn some more about the Fargo campus as one of Microsoft’s featured office location at this site. This site also has a Quick Search feature to access Fargo jobs.
The openings on my team are part of a new team focused on integration testing of the Dynamics AX product. We need strong development skills, ERP product knowledge, debugging skills, and excellent collaboration skills. This is job id 765432 at http://careers.microsoft.com (just put the number into the Search box). Check it out!!
