ax2009 in project module , we have non standard item id trying to enter as Negative qty with (1) and negative cost, its not letting us do it, does not know if AX2009 allow this or not,
can some one please help this
I assume you are on an item consumption journal? I don't think you can enter negative quantity and negative price. Just enter the quantity as negative and the price as positive values and AX will work it out from there. Please give a little more detail if I misunderstand.
I try to enter thru Item journal and and Project Consumption Journal and
Qty (1) and Cost Positive
when try to post it getting below error message
Inventory dimension Batch number is a primary input/output dimension and must consequently be specified.
how to fix this message
and other thing will this journal post to project after posted ?
can you please help with error message
I figure it out , thanks for suggesting the Project consumption journal
If possible please share solution detail in reply, so that i can help others
Hi Bashir, As Adam suggested
go to create journal thru item
and ProjConsu journal > create Lines
add Project # Item # Batch # on qty enter negative , and Cost price enter Positive cost, as soon you enter positive cost on Cost amount field shows with negative amount than you validate and post the journal ,
it will show negative qty on your project .
hope this helps
