I created two new warehouses but Im not being able to assign tax structure to the new warehouses created , the salesorder for new warehouses is only taking 1 tax group but not the second one, the previous warehouses are taking both tax structure but the same is not working for new warehouses , Someone kindly assist me with this , id be very grateful to u thanks.
Please try to post some screenshots so we can try to help you out. The order line typically takes only one tax group, would be interseting to see what you have.
Hi Mukesh Bisht,
Is the 'tax structure' that you refer to a customization?
I don't recall that AX4.0 shipped with a tax structure functionality.
Can you provide more details about your issue?
Yes the Tax structure I'm referring to is a customization, Actually we have Tax structure such as CGST ,CST , SGST , IGST over where where CGST and SGST are taxes that applied with a state and IGST for inter states transactions (from 1 state to other or even international transactions) IGST is working fine but it is SGST and CGST it is not taking , for ex when I create a sales order for a new warehouse created and assign 9% SGST and 9% CGST to it it is taking only 9% SGST instead to calculate entire 18% . I hope u understand the issue , kindly help me with this if possible. Thanks
Hello Mukesh Bisht,
If this issue is related to a customization, the community might not be able to help you much.
Have you already tried reaching out to the developer who originally created this modification?
Another thing you can look out for is the standard Indian tax functionality that is available for example for AX2012.
Please see: docs.microsoft.com/.../ind-setting-up-value-added-tax-vat
You might be able to downgrade parts of it for your AX4 application.
I apologize for the delayed response , here's the screenshot of the Order line where its taking two Tax groups CGST and SGST. Kindly look into it and let me know . Thanks.
This looks like customization, you have to check with the developer, get it debugged and see how it's working.
Thanks for your reply,it is customization indeed , the only problem is that that developer who implemented this customization is not available rn for some reason so im the one who has to resolve this issue . Also Im quite new to AX so dont know much bout it , is there book or vlogs or tutorials you could suggest me which would help me with development in AX particularly coding .
It would be difficult given the circumstances... here is what i would recommend. Right click the field that is not getting populate, click personalize and see what's the field name (table.fieldname). Once you have that, then search this field at two different places (a) SalesTable form (b) salesline table. See if you can find the field and see how the code is written around it. You could also try to debug and see how values are getting populated. Once you have code opened, you should be able to use keyword shortcut F9 to add breakpoint, i think it was that easy in AX4.0.
