Dynamics 365 F&O One Version Upgrade Workshop

Microsoft recently announced a change in the way we deliver Dynamics 365 updates that will help all customers to stay current in a consistent, predictable, and seamless manner. To ensure all customers running older versions of Dynamics 365 are smoothly transitioned to the latest version, the Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations FastTrack and Engineering teams are conducting FREE monthly upgrade workshops EXCLUSIVELY for customers and their system integrator partners that are working through 7.x to 8.x upgrades.

The target audience for this workshop is customer and partner technical resources. Registrants for this workshop will show up ready to work through their upgrade project during the workshop. The workshops are 5-day intensive hands-on events, during which the participants will work through the process of upgrading their environment including code migration from over layering to extensions and data upgrade. 

Pre-Work

• The following pre-work is recommended for us to be most productive in the workshop:

• Watch the Upgrade and Extensibility TechTalks

• Deploy a 8.1 Dev environment (dev, build can come later)

• Obtain 8.1 version of applicable ISVs

• Run LCS code upgrade service (determines if you have over-layering)

• Analyze any over-layering to determine if extension points are available

• Complete request in LCS for known extension points as needed

Requirements

• Must be assigned to a Dynamics 365 F&O customer upgrade

• Must have access to the customer development environment

• Must have access to 8.1 development VM

• Must complete all the items in the Pre-work section

Workshop Details 

• Pre-registration via this form is required since space is limited
• Spots will be confirmed once the customer project details are verified
• Specific details on timing, location, and detailed agendas will be communicated once spots are confirmed.
• Attendees will need to cover their own T&E and must bring along a Windows-based notebook. Breakfast, lunch, and snacks during the training will be provided
