The masking concept has also been added to the payroll 1099-R form, which is used for employees receiving a pension, similar to what we do with regular payroll W-2's at end of year.

This feature masks the Employee's Social Security Number (SSN) entered in the Employee Maintenance – Social Security Number field, which is printed in the Recipient’s TIN field on the 1099-R.

This feature is useful for your customers because it enhances the security and privacy of sensitive employee information. By masking the SSN on the 1099-R form, it helps protect employees from identity theft and ensures compliance with data protection regulations. This added layer of security can build trust with employees and demonstrate the company's commitment to safeguarding personal information.

Thank you for recognizing the value of this feature and its significance to your business. We hope you enjoy this eagerly awaited GP enhancement!
