Microsoft Dynamics GP October 2025 - System Updates
Views (9)
In the October 2025 release, we have updated some foundational items to reduce vulnerabilities and impact system performance. The system enhancements are not visible to users, and they play a critical role in ensuring Dynamics GP will remain secure and compatible with modern technologies.
These items are tested and compatible with release 18.8 of Dynamics GP.
- TLS 1.3
- .NET Framework 4.7.2
- Visual Studio 2019
While newer .NET Framework versions like 4.7.2 are supported and recommended for enhanced security and performance, older versions of .NET may still be required for certain components or installation processes within Dynamics GP, so it's important to retain them for full compatibility.
SQL Server 2025 will be evaluated for compatibility with Dynamics GP once it is publicly released, and upon successful testing, it will be added to the official system requirements.
These foundational upgrades help future-proof Dynamics GP, reduce vulnerabilities, and improve overall system performance—even if users don’t see the changes directly.
