A transfer in Dynamics 365 SCM is the movement of goods from warehouse X to warehouse Y. There are several ways to execute a transfer in Dynamics 365 SCM, for example by using transfer orders, transfer journals, or the Warehouse App.

The Warehouse transfer feature allows warehouse workers to create and execute a transfer directly via the Warehouse App. This can be especially useful when multiple warehouses exist within the same zone, such as a production warehouse and a shipping warehouse.

Configuration
1. A mobile device menu item with work creation process “Warehouse transfer”
2. A mobile device menu that includes the mobile device menu item “Warehouse transfer"
3. The warehouse worker must have access to the “From warehouse” and the “Destination warehouse”
Demonstration
1. An item with on-hand inventory in warehouse “WH LT”
2. The warehouse worker opens the Warehouse App and selects the Inventory menu
3. The warehouse worker selects “Warehouse transfer”
4. The worker scans the license plate to be transferred to the other warehouse and then clicks “Confirm”
5. The worker confirms the scanned license plate
6. The worker selects the “Destination warehouse”
7. The worker enters the location in the destination warehouse (for example, Receipt) and clicks “Confirm”
8. The final step is confirming the transfer. After clicking “Confirm”, the license plate will be transferred
9. The on-hand inventory has been updated
