How to display more than four line item comments in the SOP Blank Invoice Word Template
We have received multiple requests for this Customization and I thought it would benefit the Community. When you have Modified the SOP Blank Invoice Form to include more than 4 Comment Lines in Report Writer you might find it difficult to include these extra lines on the Word Template. After this is complete and you are able to print all of the Comment Lines on the Standard Report Writer report you can move on to the Template to finish the Customization. In my Report Writer Report I named my Comment Lines (LINECOMMENT1, LINECOMMENT2, LINECOMMENT3, LINECOMMENT4, LINECOMMENT5, LINECOMMENT6, LINECOMMENT7, LINECOMMENT8). I will reference these fields below in the Steps.
1. Open the SOP Blank Invoice Form (Modified) Template.
2. Click on the line containing LINECOMMENT4.
3. Right click, insert, insert row below.
4. Merge cells for new row. Right click on the whole inserted line, click Merge cells.
5. Highlight the line you clicked on in step 2. Right click, copy.
6. Paste as nested table into new row. (The one you inserted in step 3). When you choose Paste, you will have a couple of options. Choose nested table.
a. In this step we are basically moving the old LINECOMMENT4 line into a new section on the report that will accommodate the extra fields.
7. Delete the row just copied. Highlight the line, right click, delete row. (The line from step 2)
a. This may seem incorrect but we are removing the old line, the new line will print the same data with room for the extra fields.
8. Select the new row, right click, select> select row.
9. Click in a field on the row, right click, insert row below. (Now we are making room for the extra fields)
10. Merge cells for new row. Right click on the whole inserted line, click Merge cells.
11. Do this three more times so you have 4 lines below LINECOMMENT4.
12. Now drag out LINECOMMENT5 in the row below LINECOMMENT4 and the other line comments in the corresponding rows below. Save the template and import it and it will print all 8 lines of comments.

Thanks for this article. It was great. I needed to edit the pick list to have line item comments. The only problem I have now is that it prints on two pages. It prints the line item with its notes. then prints a second page with just the line item notes on it. Any idea why?
