3. Profile 'Messages' option for User Groups
4. Profile notification preference settings
5. Subscribe to forums
6. Subscribe to a single forum thread

2. Popup notification window displaying forum activity and User Group messages
Clicking on the notification/bell icon launches a popup window which displays two tabs:
- Activity - these are the threads in forums you have subscribed to, individual threads you have subscribed to, or replies to threads you authored.

- Messages - these are User Group messages for User Groups only (for now).
You can also click on the gear icon to view your notification settings preferences page.
3. Profile 'Messages' option for User Groups
Clicking on your profile, then 'Messages' link takes you to the User Group private messages page.
4. Profile notification preference settings
Clicking on your profile, then 'Profile', then 'Notification Settings' takes you to the notification settings preferences page.
These options are enabled by default but you can change them as needed.
5. Subscribe to forums
To subscribe to a forum, go to the forum and select the 'Subscribe' button on the right rail.
6. Subscribe to a single forum thread
To subscribe to an individual forum thread, go to the thread and select the 'Subscribe' link in the toolbar (top right on thread page). Once subscribed, the toolbar will show the link as 'Unsubscribe'. A thread author is automatically subscribed to their own post.
