How to assign the default dimensions to multiple Items in Business Central?

Introduction:

It is tedious to assign default dimensions to Items one by one. We can assign the same dimension to a set of Items using the below feature also we can add dimensions to a Table e.g Production Dimension for Item table

Pre-requisites:

D365 Business Central

Steps:

1. Navigate to Items and filter the Items you want to assign the same default dimension. Here, I would like to add department dimension to all Loudspeakers.

2. Click on select more and select all

3. Under Dimensions, click on Dimension-Multiple

5. Assign Dimensions

6. Check for any Loudspeaker Item if dimension is applied.

Also, we can add a dimension to a table using the below feature. Suppose I wish to make Product group as mandatory dimension to the table item.

1. Navigate to Dimensions
2. Select Account Type Default Dimension
