Issue: User tries to create new accounts payable invoice journal (though this happens for all types of ledger journals) in AX 2012 R3 but when they click on the “New” button the system moves the focus to the “Blocking” tab. This is strange as the focus needs to remain on the Overview tab.

Normally this is a clear issue of a single user usage data.

But Instead of resetting all the usage data of a single user whereby the user will loose all their personalization which is never fun at least for them it isn’t we can remove the specific usage data for that form.

Since this is usually a specific entity issue you can always delete the entity usage data to solve this issue in seconds. The issue is knowing what to delete. The steps below show the specific usage data you need to delete.

Solution:

Ask User to close their AX if open before proceeding further.

On your system admin login navigate to the System admin>Users menu point in AX and then click on or select the user who has the issue. Then click on the “Options” button on the action pane.

Then click on the “Usage Data”.

Next go to the “All usage data” tab and filter for the specific entity in the company column and filter for the “LedgerJournalTable” in the “Element name” column.
