You may hear the phrase “user adoption tips” and think the advice is only applicable to admins, but this is far from the truth!
Users, you should know how to adopt your system more efficiently, too.
User adoption is key for every person in any role who is using your organization’s Dynamics environment.
The tips we share in this post are for understanding why user adoption is key for you as a user.
1. Make notes on what could be improved and bring them to your admin
Use the concept of earning high and continuous CRM user adoption to your advantage.
Make lists of items you want to see improved and note how they could be improved. Don’t just complain about what could be improved, but actively propose ways to improve your system.
You are the one who understands the system’s functionality and day-to-day movements best. Be a proactive and engaged user, not a robot to your system.
There are always possibilities for customizations.
2. Speak up when items aren’t working in CRM
You should also make notes of items that just aren’t working in their current state.
Don’t accept faulty day-to-day practices – make efforts to change them and speak up about dysfunctionalities to increase efficiencies across your organization.
3. Propose new options for your Option Sets
Are there Option Sets in your system that could use more options? In Dynamics, it’s important that you express your ideas for these options!
Maybe a set needs to be less broad and is irrelevant in the way it’s extended right now.
Don’t be afraid to expand or refine what’s possible in your system …
4. Propose another column in a view
Would adding another column in a view help everyone?
Users, you need to bring this up! If you find yourself wishing for another column in a view that would make your day easier, it’s likely this wish (coming true) will also make things easier for others in your organization.
5. Be a voice of your Dynamics environment
If others are struggling to see the benefits of Dynamics, help them to solve any issues in the system that may be preventing them from experiencing this viewpoint.
6. Share with your colleagues
Sharing is caring! We knew the saying well in grade school, and now can see it come to fruition in our adult work lives.
If you have created a view, chart, or dashboard that is beneficial, share it with your co-workers to create consistencies and improve your system effectiveness.
7. Share best practices
Have you discovered a great way to do something in your Dynamics environment, or do you see a new colleague who needs a lesson on best practices to create efficiencies?
Share your insight with them – the more you know, the better you feel (and navigate your system)!
8. Be a great team-player
When you’re great at user adoption as a user, you are seen as a team player and become a system champion in the long-run.
Be a voice to implement change for a tool your organization users every day.
Don’t just use the system, be active with it. Be an engaged user!
As a user, you are in the “trenches” of your Dynamics 365/CRM environment. You are using Dynamics (or you should be using it) every day.
You know its inner-workings best. It’s important you speak up and out when changes or improvements could be made.
