Integration Manager for Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 SP3 Build Issue
Hi all!
Here in Microsoft Dynamics GP support, we have heard from a few of you recently in regards to Integration Manager installation troubles from the Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 SP3 product release download. We have also seen a bit of “chatter” about this on the forums so I thought it was time to let everyone what’s been going on.
If you haven’t run into this, your probably wondering what I’m about to talk about. So….here’s the issue:
We have seen a handful of cases where after installing Integration Manager from the Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 SP3 DVD download (filename “MDGP2010_DVD_withHotfixKB2731285_ENUS.zip”) you may get the following error message:
“Error: -Access to the path 'C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Microsoft Dynamics GP\11.0.0.0' is denied.”
Upon investigating this issue, we found that user’s that were experiencing this problem had the Integration Manager version of 11.00.2059 after running the installation from the DVD download. However, if the user installed Integration Manager from the RTM media or a previous release download (prior to SP3), then applied the latest update by downloading the Integration Manager 2010 SP3 update (MDGP2010_IntegrationMgr_SP3_KB2672773.zip) directly, they would have the version of 11.00.2055. These users would not experience the error above.
What happened is we had some build issues and while working on these, we inadvertently released the 11.00.2059 build for Integration Manager in the DVD download file. The filename included in the DVD download had the same name as the correct SP3 update if you were to download it directly (“MicrosoftDynamicsGP11-IntegrationManager-KB2672773-ENU.msp”). This caused users who installed Integration Manager from the DVD to get the version 11.00.2059 while users that downloaded and applied the SP3 updated separately would have the version 11.00.2055.
Once we realized what happened, we made the correction to the Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 DVD download so that it now includes the correct MSP file for Integration Manager SP3, which is version 11.00.2055. Since the filenames are the same, you can’t tell them apart from one another. So for those of you that may have the incorrect build, if you have installed Integration Manager and see the version as 11.00.2059 what you will want to do is uninstall Integration Manager. Then delete the DVD download files that you currently have and download the latest Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 DVD product release again by clicking here. Then install Integration Manager again from the new DVD release files that you just downloaded and you will now have the correct version of 11.00.2055 and should not experience the error mentioned above.
