Microsoft Dynamics GP October 2024-Sales Document drill back capability

Terry R Heley Profile Picture Terry R Heley Microsoft Employee

Get ready to supercharge your document lookup process with the 18.7 release! 🎉 We've added an awesome drill-down feature in the Sales Transaction Inquiry Zoom for the Document Number and Orig Number fields. Here's why you should be excited:

To start, navigate to Inquiry, choose Sales, and click on Sales Documents. In the Sales Order Processing Document Inquiry window, pick a document and click on the Document Number. Now, in the Sales Transaction Inquiry Zoom, you can drill down on the Document No. and see the Sales Document Detail Inquiry Zoom in action!

But wait, there's more! When you zoom in on the Document Number or Original Number, the Sales Transaction Inquiry window (which is already open) will refresh with the zoomed document information. Plus, the Sales Doc Detail Inquiry Zoom will also refresh, just like it does when you select a different document in the Sales Order Processing Document Inquiry and zoom in on the document number while the window is open.

No more scribbling down the number on a sticky note and then typing it back into an inquiry screen.  This new feature streamlines your process, making it quicker and easier to access detailed document information. No more tedious navigation or waiting for windows to load—everything you need is right at your fingertips, refreshed and ready to go!

So, dive in and experience the enhanced efficiency and convenience of this fantastic new feature. Your document lookup process will never be the same again! 🚀
