This week, Microsoft launched the public preview of Microsoft Forms Pro. If you aren't aware of this solution, this is a survey and analytics solution, similar to Voice of Customer in Dynamics 365 and useful to capture and analyze the feedback. While it enables you to create personalized surveys and provide deep insights, below are the highlights from the preview release.
- More personalized surveys using themes.
- Various options (Email, MS Flow, links and QR Code) to distribute the Surveys. I liked the QR option where recipients can scan the code on a phone or tablet to access the survey
- Rich and real-time analytics from Power BI for survey invitations, responses, and questions
- Advanced branching rules to customize the flow of your survey.
- Integrate with Business Applications (Dynamics 365, PowerBI, Flow and PowerApps)
- Ability to preview the Surveys in Computer and Mobile mode to see the customer experience.
- Enabling this solution will automatically import the MicrosoftFromsPro solution and all your survey data is stored in CDS environment
Considering this is still in preview, following are the current limitations but on the long run, this is going to be an alternative to VoC and preferred solution for enterprise surveys.
- Limited question types
- Ability to upload any files while filling the survey
- Ability to show progress, tooltips, footers and etc.
- Ability to use D365 data, unless you are using MS Flows.
