Hi Terry, Per the instructions from IRS, the ‘Plan Start Month’ is “the calendar month during which the plan year begins of the health plan in which the employee is offered coverage (or would be offered coverage if the employee were eligible to participate in the plan).” Based on this definition, if the employer’s health plan year is from the beginning of May 2020 to the end of the month of April 2021, then the ‘Plan Start Month’ should be ‘05’ for a full calendar year 2020 employee. Based on the example in your blog, the ‘Plan Start Month’ would be ‘01’ on 1095-C produced from GP. The interpretation of the ‘Plan Start Month’ in Dynamics GP seems to be different from the IRS instruction. For our company the ‘Plan Start Month’ should be ‘05’. How do we change the “01” to be “05”? Is there any way to review if the logic behind ‘Plan Start Month’ in Dynamics GP follows the IRS requirements? In addition, it would be nice if the ‘Plan Start Month’ can be edited. Looking forward to hearing from you!
