In this blog series, I would like to share the outcomes of my experiments with Microsoft Dynamics D365 for the Volumetric feature available in Warehouse Management. The Warehouse Management module will be set up and configured to showcase the capability of "Volumetric" available out of the box in the system.

Why Batch Tracking Is Fundamental For Food and Beverage Industry?

Batch number is crucial for food and beverage manufacturing companies, they have to follow the guidelines provided by Food authorities. I have faced the requirement from different customers to record and label the manufacturing date, best before date, expiry date, etc. In case of misprint, the companies may not only face the business loss but also got penalties from the regulatory authorities.

The blog series for Volumetric Solution for "Outbound Operations for Batch(First Expiry First Out - FEFO) Controlled Items Part 2" will be based on the below Warehouse Layout.
