Microsoft Dynamics GP 2016 or later - Ole Note Migration Utility

Hello -

There will not be an Ole Note Migration Utility tool that is compatible with Microsoft Dynamics GP 2016 or later.

What this means:
If you haven't already converted your Ole Notes to Document Attach, you will want to do so PRIOR to upgrading to Microsoft Dynamics GP 2016.  Once you are on Microsoft Dynamics GP 2016, there will not be a tool to convert OLE Notes to Document Attach.


If you are currently on Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 or earlier, you will need to upgrade to Microsoft Dynamics GP 2013 or Microsoft Dynamics GP 2015 BEFORE being able to upgrade to Microsoft Dynamics GP 2016.  At this point of the upgrade process, when you are on Microsoft Dynamics GP 2013 or Microsoft Dynamics GP 2015, you will need to convert your OLE Notes to Document Attach BEFORE kicking off the upgrade to Microsoft Dynamics GP 2016.


In addition, if you are currently on Microsoft Dynamics GP 2013  and you haven't yet converted your Ole Notes to Document Attach, you will need to run the Ole Note Migration Utility to convert your OLE Notes to Document Attach prior to upgrading to Microsoft Dynamics GP 2016.

    The link to the GP 2013 OLE Note Migration Utility above is broken.

    I've also tried to find it through GP 2013 product downloads, but that link is also broken.

    Can you let me know where to find the GP 2013 OLE Note Migration Utility?  I need to migrate my OLE objects before upgrading from GP 2013 to GP 2016.

    I'm having an issue where I'm trying to jump from GP 2010 to GP 2015 and the Microsoft Dynamics GP 2015 OLE Note Migration Utility it not displaying the GP Company to do the migration process.  I've verified that the DEX.ini file is pointing to the correct folder and there are files in folder to migrate.  Any ideas on how to get around this issue?
