Tuesday Tip #3: Enabling Email Notifications

Welcome back to our Tuesday Tips series which highlight one key Dynamics 365 community feature each week, including newly released functionality, like this one - you can now receive email notifications when new posts are created in forums (or threads) you have subscribed to.

How to subscribe to Forum(s): navigate to the forum of your choice and click on the 'Subscribe' button located in the right-hand sidebar.
 

 
How to subscribe to a Discussion ThreadTo subscribe to a specific forum thread, visit the thread you're interested in and click on the 'Subscribe' link found in the toolbar at the top right of the thread page. After subscribing, the link in the toolbar will change to 'Unsubscribe.' Note that a thread's author is automatically subscribed to their own post.


 

Enabling email notifications:

To adjust your notification preferences:
1. Click on your profile link in the upper right of any community page.
2. Select 'Profile'
3. Select 'Notification Settings' tab

4. Enable the desired options in the 'Email notifications' settings pane



 
The in-app notification choices are set to default activation, but for email notifications, you need to enable them as desired.
