Printing the Header on the First Page Only in Word Templates

Hello - We recently had a few cases that were requesting to have the Header print only on the first page of the document.  Here is a quick and easy solution to do this.  The only downside I see to this customization is the Page Number will not print on the second page and I don't think batch printing will be possible.

Printing the Header on the first page only.

1.       Open the Template you would like to edit.

2.       Click into the Header and select the Table.

3.       Cut the Table (Right Click | Select Cut).

4.       Click Page Layout and click Page Setup

5. Click the Layout tab and select the following:

Section start: New page

Header and footers: Different first page

6. Click Ok.

7. Click into the Header and Paste the Header you Cut from step 3.

8. Save and Import the new Template into Report Template Maintenance.

Here is an example of what the Template will look like (Page 1 and Page 2):
