New Beginnings
Today I begin a new adventure. After leaving the InterDyn - Remington Consulting group yesterday, I will be beginning a new adventure and journey in CRM and other related Microsoft Healthcare technologies - namely HealthVault and Amalga.
If you're not familiar with HealthVault, you should be. This is a free service that Microsoft is offering to everyone with a Windows Live login (also free). Inside the HealthVault application, users can securely store all their Personal Health Record data for members in their families. While stored of this data is one thing, usage is an entirely different matter. HealthVault actually allows users to securely opt-in the doctors of their choice, which gives them the ability to share their medical information (you know those annoying forms on the clipboard when you go to the doctor's office) electronically!
You may be wondering by now, "So what's this got to do with Dynamics CRM?". I'll tell you what.... In the upcoming release of CRM 2011 there will be a MarketPlace of solutions for users to choose from. That's where I intend to be. In a collaborative effort with Microsoft team members, I hope to have a series of solutions available at launch of General Availability. Some of the key features that you should see will be Clinic Triage, HL7 Document generation & transmission, Amalga integration, and HealthVault integration. When I'm done with this bad boy, CRM users will be able to join a Health Technology Community that is distinct to their working environment and get it set up and running in ONE DAY (or less).
Stay tuned...there are exciting things on the horizon!!!

UPDATE: Much to my dismay, I was sidetracked early on, so these solutions did not go down the development path (yet). I am actively researching the supporting legislation around the EMR mandates and timelines, as if time again becomes available, I'd chase that windmill instead.
If anybody knows of a good ISV who handles these types of integrations, please post them here! Thanks!!
