Well call it what you want, Affordable Healthcare Act, Obamacare Health Reform, or PPACA, I know it is top of mind to you and causing many employers stress about how to comply with the changes.

I'm not an expert by any means, but I would like to point out areas in Microsoft Dynamics GP that will help you in tracking information needed for the healthcare changes.

This post is not intended to address all aspects of the new law, but the VIDEO will walk you through areas of Microsoft Dynamics GP that you may not be using today and relate to tracking of Affordable Healthcare.

Thanks and enjoy!

Terry Heley

    Hi Becky,

What you can do is create a benefit code for your employees, this is the "employer" portion.  Put the amount on this code, label it to go to box 12-DD and then it will appear on their W2.  Thanks  Terry

Hello - I am fairly new to GP. We use the A/P & Payroll module. The Affordable Care Act now requires employers to report the cost of coverage for both the employee and employer on the  w-2 (box 12 -DD). The employee deduction is simple as we can direct it via pay code. How would you suggest we import the employer portion?

    Your input is greatly appreciated.
