I know there is no MICR font option for check report by default in the business central. I modified report layout(RDL) to print check number and some other info in MICR font on it. But it is not working when we print from D365BC, I can see font affected if we download it as the word document.
Is there other solution in business central to get MICR font on reports?
Have you assigned the new template to your 'Report Selections Sales'. Can you give an indication of the steps you've taken so far in the process and where you're stuck?
From what you've said you've done the following:
The report sales selection screen should be something like the below
but it is the check report and mapped new layout in report layout selection then selected the same report in Bank report selection.
In Steps what I did.
1. Installed the MICR font in my system.
2. Created a new layout in custom report layouts for the report (10401).
3. Exported from the custom layout as RDLC
4. Modified as per our requirement is that changed one textbox font to MICR Encoding
5. Imported in the custom layout
6. Selected the newly created layout in Report layout selection
7. Mapped the report(10401) in Bank report selection for check report.
printed from payment journal the font was not affected.
this font affected when I download the report as the word document.
How can I get the font on check report when printing directly from the Business central?
Aha, I see what you're saying. I'm not sure why that would be. My only thought would be that BC Central is converting it to a web friendly font? Maybe one of the more technical experts may be able to help you with this one...
Are there any apps or solutions for Business central that allows custom fonts for clients?
Does the Business Central not allow the custom fonts on reports?
Did you ever receive an answer on how to do this?
No, I have not yet received.
