Last week our company Sylogist announced the acquisition of Mission CRM, a leader in Microsoft Dynamics 365 / Power Apps solutions for nonprofits.  This is big news for us and for the nonprofit sector. 
Mission CRM is built a SaaS fundraising and engagement platform architecture and mindset.  They were one of the first to embrace the vision of Microsoft’s Tech for Social Impact organization which called for industry standards of compatibility and interoperability as well as working solutions geared toward the needs of nonprofits. 
Microsoft partnered with Mission CRM in development the Common Data Model ("CDM") for nonprofits and in developing the Fundraising and Engagement solution, based on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales Enterprise.  
The Mission CRM solution takes advantage of the Microsoft platform and provides seamless constituent engagement, online fundraising and campaign pages, event management, peer-to-peer fundraising, donation processing, funds distribution, postal integrations, and CRA receipting.
Here are some of the reasons this is exciting to me:
  1. Nonprofits can now secure a truly innovative, comprehensive, Microsoft-based solution which encompasses grant making, fund accounting, fundraising, event management and much more.  In addition to Mission CRM’s amazing fund raising and donor engagement capabilities, our Serenic Navigator provides financial management and grant making based on Dynamics 365 to complement the Mission CRM solution, and our Grants Manager Plus adds grantor functionality to help identify and win new funding for the entire grant lifecycle.
  2. By joining Sylogist, Mission CRM can scale up and expand its reach to serve more nonprofit customers than it would have been harder pressed to on its own. 
  3. The combination underscores our commitment to the vision behind Microsoft Cloud for Nonprofit and its Common Data Model to provide interoperability and platform data integration to serve various nonprofit segments with unique needs.
