I wanna create the dynamic dashboard in CRM, using the external database. I am using MSSQL server 2008 R2. I want to fetch data from SQL and generate dashboard in CRM. How can i make possible. Could anybody guide me please.
I think all are depend MSSQL
Data from an external database can only be displayed using an IFrame. You'll need to create a visualization outside of Dynamics CRM and include this data into the dashboard using an IFrame.
The most preferred way (for better usability, performance and effective drill down) for displaying visualizations in dashboard is to get data in crm. First you should try for this option.
If it is absolutely unavoidable, then you can give a try on these 2 possible options which might help :-
