Been testing with a Surface that is connected up to our Domain and trying to connect to our On-Premise Organization, but not having any luck.
We do not have IFD setup, which I've read is needed, but not sure why if the Surface is on the domain and connect to the Org. via the website with no issues.
The message I get back is "Sorry, there is more information needed to finish this setup" but there is no more information available.
Has anyone else set this up, can it be done without IFD configuration.
Just trying to setup an internal demo of what the mobile client looks like without using the online trial org.
My name is Andres Guzman, I'm glad to help you
Maybe, for the user that you are trying to configure, you need to add the privilege in his security role to access to CRM for tablets: technet.microsoft.com/.../dn531085.aspx
This info can help you better: www.microsoft.com/.../crm-for-tablets-and-phones.aspx
I'm actually the Sys. Admin to that Organization, so from a security point of view I'm covered.
I'm sorry to tell you that IFD is a requirement for the Tablet App.
See here for confirmation: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn660982.aspx
Without IFD it is not possible at the moment.
you could try the Resco Mobile CRM app - it supports also AD. See blog.resco.net/.../connecting-to-microsoft-dynamics-crm
