is there a way, given a list of contacts on an excel spreadsheet, I can upload the list into an advanced find?
I have a list of about 200 contacts we want to deactivate and don't fancy typing them in individually!
Well for things like that, but also for campaigns I have setup a bulk selection entity in my system.
So you could setup a new entity in CRM for that with a lookup field to contact and probably some text field.
You can then import your excel and define for the lookup to contact which fields to check, e.g. full name
Then you can define an advance find on contact afterwards where you select bulk selection under your related entities and then query for e.g. the special text provided with the import.
That should return all these contacts in advanced find.
