Im working on CRM 2015 Onpremise I have a below requirement,
1.create a custom Button called resolve case ,on click should open a Popup with few fields like status etc. in it along with resolve and cancel button.
2.Create a clone Case Button,Onclick should open quick case form with details of the parent form in it.
Kindly let me know the easiest way to achieve this.
1.May I know is there any specific reason you want to create new window for resolve case ? For me it would better to use the OOB one and create plugin/Workflow on case resolution/Status changes and implement logic there.
2. You can do it easily by creating custom ribbon button and Open the case entity form using OpenEntityForm where you could pass the parameter getting from current case.
There is a limitation of OpenEntityForm when you are passing maximum length of data as OpenEntityForm parameter passes data using URL internally . If you think that there is many data you are passing fro parent case , I would recommend to pass only case id and using caseId retrieve the case details in the form onload method of case and populate value new form.
1) try using dialog for this, will work best for this option.. so put custom button called "Resolve Case" and call this new dialog which will ask user some question and based on that resolves the case ...refer article for this..
2) for clone a record in CRM refer following article..
I wanted to remove "Total Time" and "Billable Time" from "Resolve Case" dialog. From my initial research, I think that is not possible.
1 - What is the best approach to achieve this (Remove some fields from Out-of-the-box dialogs)?
2-Kindly provide me detailed step to achieve this.
