we are getting this error when trying to open a .cxml from a note in Case entity. Is it a unsupported file extension of Dynamics? Is it possible to add new file extensions that Dynamics can support?
I think you can control the allowed extensions by going to
Settings --> Administration --> Global Settings --> General -- > blocked extensions

I already been checking there and as I understand it only blocked extensions should be listed there, however the .cxml extension was not in that list... so I wonder what can be blocking this?
For me the error message seems to be complaining about the client device does not have the application that could open the file.
Could you download the file and see if you can open from the File explorer.
If you cannot open the file from File Explorer, then the it might be why you are getting the error.
you could set a default client for that file type and then try again in CRM to see if you are still getting the error.
