Our CRM server is on a Windows Server 2008 R2 SP 1 box, and we want to upgrade it to Windows Server 2012. My question is-What's better-an inplace upgrade from Server 2008 to 2012, or install CRM on a new 2012 server and migrate CRM/the SQL db?
I have seen many issues with performing an in place upgrade from Windows Server 2008 R2 over to Windows Server 2012, so I would recommend using a new 2012 install and performing the migration.
