Question Who to fix this when the application is set to Managed?
When :After the migration from Pre-Prod to Production environment, the data/filters as CRM does not manage it properly.
Note: Because we moved from Pre-Prod to Prod take in consideration we are using Manage environment.
Inventory view list using Jets Storage at is not displaying any records
Inventory view list using Cremazie Storage at is not displaying any records
Inventory Chart using Jets Storage at is not displaying any records Inventory Chart using Cremazie Storage at is not displaying any records
** When have Imported the PPERTS solution into a new environment, the Filter Criteria for the Jets Storage Views and Cremazie Storage view were part of the migration, but They are not working properly. The list view and the charts are not returning any records.
The chart Storage: Cremazie and Chart Storage Jets = No Data Available
From the Solution, this is what is probably causing the problem but ne needs it for the good functionality of the application. See screenshot below:
When you create your Package and you select Managed, you cannot edit and removed them and put it back for force the application to display records like it should.
Result: It seem when it get migrated those filter are no longer working.
Note: We have attempted two times to migrate this solution and the problem occur every times.
Thank you for your help
Hi Jean-Sebastien, In such a scenario to get the faster resolution of such issues, we recommend to open an Support Ticket with the MS.Thanks,Manoj.Please mark this as VERIFIED if it helps.
the screenshot is very small so it is not easy to identify. Am I right when I assume that you are filtering on a record in the view that is not working? Then the managed solution may not the problem, but the record that you are using to filter has been created with different GUIDs in the environments. The name of the record may be the same - but if you look at the FetchXML of your filtered view in Advanced find, you will notice that not the name is referenced but the GUID of the record in the origin environment.E.g.:View displays record name:
The FetchXML of the same view uses the GUID of the record
Records are not migrated in the solution and when you create a record in your environment manually - it will have a different GUID in each environment. If you want to have the same GUID in different environments e.g. for configuration records, you can use e.g. the Microsoft Configuration Migration tool to copy the records from source environment to target environments:
Download tools from NuGet (Microsoft Dataverse) - Power Apps | Microsoft DocsThere are also other tools e.g. in the XRMToolbox which you can use for Data migration.
Thank you Joergen and others for your input. I will share this information with my team and try to resolve this with MS Configuration Migration Tool.
Best Regards, JS
