If the Client Pc has CRM Update Roll Up 11 for outlook installed. Does the CRM server need to be installed with Update Roll Up 11 ?
it is best if they are the same.
No they do not need to be the same. However, there are some things to consider here:
1. Some client side changes also depend on Server side changes, so if you apply a fix to the client expecting it to be fixed and it is not, this could be because it was a server side fix.
2. There were schema change in Update Rollup 6, so if they were on different versions, they would both have to be on the same side of UR 6. For example, the Server could not be UR5 and client at UR11.
I believe this will be the same when UR12 releases as well. Therefore, as Jerry said above, it would be best and we recommend that they stay on the same versions.
