Dev environment URL is not working

Hi All,

The environment URL shows a certificate related error (NET::ERR_CERT_DATE_INVALID) when try to open the application, So SSL secret rotation was initiated and failed. We seen that the environment status in LCS is Incomplete. We are not sure a deallocation was attempted by someone or it is showing some other reason's . but the environment remains in the Incomplete state. Has anyone encountered this situation before? What is the recommended way to recover the environment or complete/retry the SSL secret rotation when the environment is stuck in an Incomplete state?

Hi,
The Incomplete status in Lifecycle Services (LCS) occurs because the automated script executed by the Rotate secrets action uses Windows Remote Management (WinRM) to connect to the Virtual Machine (VM). If the internal WinRM SSL certificate on that VM has also expired, LCS loses its connection to the machine. This causes the secret rotation orchestration to fail halfway through, leaving the environment locked in an unstable, incomplete state.

Please check whether you have the valid subscription id for this project and check whether anyone has tried to delete the environment from LCS Project.

Your environment was deployed as far back as 2023. The certificate is thus expired. You cannot rotate it anymore. The deallocation state is likely because the Azure subscription Id used it not valid anymore.

Best bet for you is to revalidate the azure subscription and redeploy the environment.
