Error in Cloud Pos with Epson TM-m30II OPOS printer

Hi everyone,

I've been trying to get a new Epson TM-m30II printer to work with CPOS(with Shared Hardware Station).

Receipts printing is failing with this following errors:

- "Hardware Station operation failed for request uri: 'localhost/.../Print' with controller 'Printer' and method 'Print'. isExternalPeripheralFailure: 'True'. ExceptionMessage: 'OPOS printer failed to execute 'Open' with error '101', extended error code - 0. ErrorResourceId='Microsoft_Dynamics_Commerce_HardwareStation_Printer_Error'

- In C:\ProgramData\EPSON\OPOS\OPOSAPIOld.LOG show

My installation sequence was: (Also try other sequence, also with OPOSN1.14.22.zip)

1. PosForDotNet-1.14.1

2. ADK300ER14 extraction and setup

3. Install OPOS_CCOs_1.14.001.msi

I can perform a check health via EPSON OPOS ADK successfully every time-

Do I miss anything?

    So I am getting this same error "ExceptionMessage: 'OPOS printer failed to execute 'Open' with error '101'" when attempting to print using an Epson TM-T88V printer.
     
    If I configure MPOS 10.0.0.35 to use this printer, OPOS, it prints fine using the built-in dedicated HW station. I am not using Shared HW stations.
     
    If I remove MPOS 10.0.0.35 and then installed the SEALED version of MPOS, using the same everything - HW profile, etc., error OPOS printer failed to execute 'Open' with error '101'". Remove the SEALED version, go back to the regular 10.0.0.35 version, no problems.
     
    With the SEALED version I've tried updated OPOS versions, older versions, changing settings, etc. Nothing seems to help. Same error. So, what is the big difference between sealed and non sealed versions that would prevent printing to Epson printers where everything else is the same?

    Hi,

    I found the solution: Install CommerceStoreScaleUnitSetup.exe instead of HardwareStationSetup.exe.

    It printed fine in Store Commerce with the same hardware profile.

    In Cloud POS I have the same errors.

    We don't usually install PosForDotNet-1.14.1 component. The logical name you set in Epson OPOS configuration utility is same as the one configured in Dynamics hard profile? are you able to do the health check operation from Dynamics ?

    To diagnose if this is a compatibility issue with hardware station, can you try with MPOS and inbuild hardware station ?

    Please contact Epson to find out whether your printer is compatible with OPOS drivers.

    Or create a support incident for further investigation.
