Layer select in model wizard in creating Package/Model

Hi team,

We needs to select "Layer" selection in Model wizard during creaton of Package/Model.

I have confusion, what layer needs to select for Development:

CUS, VAR,USR

Is the layer are saved anywhere in applications?

As per my knowledge, layer importance is very less in D365FO because overlsyering concept is NO MORE in D365FO. MS introduced "Extension". Then why still Layer existed in D365FO.

Kindly elaborate pls. thanks!

Hi Martin,

In the Package folder, every model has "descriptor"file. The layer information is stored in model metadata/ descriptorfile. What I remember.

Am I correct? Pls advise. thanks!

You don't need to ask strangers on internet, you can simply open the file to see whether you're right or not.

You are; the file stores information about the model, including the layer. But it's for development; it doesn't really play a role in the deployed application.
