Event Subscribers

Posted on by 8
Hi,

I am studying AL in my free time and came up with a small project that I could make in order to make the learning experience more enjoyable. However, for this project I would need a list of all event subscribers that are present in BC Cloud base application.

I found this list: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/waldo1001/blog.CALAnalysis/master/Published%20Events/Business%20Central%20OnPrem/Publishers_13.2.26556.0-W1.txt But these seem to be On-Prems subscribers and I am not sure if the same ones are in Cloud versions code.

So can anybody point me where I could find listing of all BC Cloud event subscribers?

Thanks for the help,
pew

Hi and thanks for the responses.

I will check out the AL explorer.

As for the project I found an old blog post about how to log call stacks in business central (there is not really a good reason for this, just for fun). But the sample was made using only one event subscriber which made it a bit lame so I figured to add some, to get more data out. However I could not find a decent listing of BC's event subscribers online (until now).

Generally, this is viewed in standard code, and searching for the name alone may not pinpoint where it is executed.
As for the method of viewing standard codes, the most recommended one now is the standard AL Explorer.

    Hope this helps.
    Thanks.

    Hi Pew,

I am interested what your project is. What you will do with all events available.

Additionally Which app events you are looking for. Microsoft have so many apps available. If its core apps (base, System, application) then you can use AL Explorer to get all events.

If there are other apps that you want to include then add dependency to your app and Download Symbol. Once downloaded then use AL Explorer.

    Hi pew,
There are literally thousands Eventsubscribers, but you can get the list on AL Explorer.
In Visual Studio code download the AL Extension Pack from Waldo.
Then in the command Palette  Search "AL:Explorer"
This gives access to all the Base,Foundation and application code for BC.  The Code is separated by object type.
