Push Notification Flow - Additional step required

Posted on by 50
Hi,  I have created a push notification flow that seems to be working fine and I get the notification of the new booking on my mobile.

However I need to add another step but unsure of how to complete this.

I only need the notification to activate when (lookup column): Booking Status = Scheduled.

Any guidance would be appreciated.

Thank you

Push Notification Flow - Additional step required
    Hello Cpmt1977,

To trigger your Power Automate flow only when the booking status is "Scheduled," you can add a condition to your flow. Here's a step-by-step guide:

    1. Add a Condition
In your Power Automate flow, after the trigger (e.g., "When a new record is created"), add a "Condition" action.
    Configure the condition as follows:
Check if: Booking Status equals Scheduled
If yes: Proceed to the notification step.
    If no: End the flow.

    2. Configure the Condition
In the "Check if" field, use the dynamic content to select the Booking Status field from the triggered record.
In the "Value" field, enter the text "Scheduled".

    Additional Tips
Error Handling: Consider adding error handling steps to your flow to catch any potential exceptions and log them for troubleshooting.
Testing: Thoroughly test your flow with different booking statuses to ensure it works as expected.
Flow Triggers: If you need to trigger the flow for existing records with the "Scheduled" status, you can use a recurring flow or a manual trigger.
Notification Customization: Customize the notification content to provide relevant information about the booking, such as customer name, service, and time slot.

By following these steps and considering the additional tips, you can effectively filter your notifications based on the booking status and ensure that you only receive relevant alerts.
