Good day,

We are currently facing an issue in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations related to the Budget Analysis Report, and we would appreciate your urgent support.

Issue Description:
For a specific ledger account, the Actual Expenditures amount is not appearing in the Budget Analysis Report. However:

The same amount is correctly reflected in the Trial Balance (TB)

The amount is also showing correctly in Management Reporter.

Request:
Kindly assist me in identifying the root cause of this discrepancy and advise on the required steps to resolve it.

This issue is impacting our financial reporting accuracy, so your prompt support would be highly appreciated.

Hello,

Very strange. First, check that you are in the same legal entity.
The legal entity of your trial balance must be the same as the one where you are performing budget control.

Second, try to do the inquiries from here: Budgeting> Inquiries and reports> Basic budgeting> Actual vs. budget.

I'd like to clarify the following points:

Legal Entity
Please note that the environment contains only one legal entity, and all reports (Trial Balance, Management Reporter, and Budget Control) are being reviewed within the same entity. Therefore, this is not a cross-entity issue.

Actual vs. Budget Inquiry
We have checked the report under:
Budgeting > Inquiries and reports > Basic budgeting > Actual vs. budget

The Actual Amount is showing correctly for the same ledger account in this inquiry.

Based on the above:

The actual values are correctly recorded and visible in both Trial Balance and Actual vs. Budget inquiry

The issue appears to be specific to the Budget Analysis Report only, where the Actual Expenditures are not reflected

Hello,

It's probably because the second report is a financial report. These reports require a mapping between the report lines and the main accounts. :-)
Try check the mapping, there might be a mismatch.
