When I create a ship-to address for acustomer, theName 2from the customer card is not transferred. Additionally, the field is grayed out, meaning it is not editable. Is there a reason for this? Am I not maintaining the data correctly? Or have I not set up something properly? TheName 2field is filled in on the customer card.
Can someone tell me if the information for theName 2field on the ship-to address page is pulled from another field?
In Dynamics NAV, the "Name 2" field on the Ship-to Address page is not automatically populated from the Customer Card, even if it's filled there. Also, the field might be grayed out due to page customization, permissions, or extension logic. By default:
"Name 2" on Ship-to is independent of the Customer's "Name 2".
It must be entered manually or populated via customization if needed.
Page customizations/extensions.
Field properties in the Ship-to Address table (Table 222).
User permissions.
If needed, a developer can add logic to copy "Name 2" from the Customer Card when creating a new Ship-to.
