Issue in Delete Released Product Variant

Hi,

I am trying to delete released product variant and facing this error "The record cannot be deleted. Open transactions exist in table On-hand inventory"

I checked there were open PO lines, I've cancelled these open PO lines through deliver remainder but after that still facing same error.

My Scenario

Error in delete relased produc variant.
Cancel open PO lines through deliver remainder ( after changing request of the PO as POs were in confirmed status)
After that still facing same error.
My POs are in still draft status.

Anyone have solution for my issue please do let me know.

This error occurs because open inventory transactions still exist for the product variant. Canceling PO lines alone doesn’t remove these records. To fix it:

Verify that on-hand quantities are zero.

Run Inventory recalculation to clear residual transactions.

Check InventTrans, blocking, and warehouse work for open entries. After these steps, you’ll be able to delete the released product variant successfully.

Hi Rashid,

Could you please confirm the below -

Ensure no on-hand inventory and no draft documents
-> Qty must be 0 and try to delete all draft PO/SO/Transfer orders

Check inventory transactions
-> If any transaction exists (even historical), deletion will fail

Last Option -
If still failing, deletion is not possible
-> Mark the item as Stopped instead of deleting
