Explosion menu item for Production

Posted on by 7
HI,

User is able to see the explosion button on planned orders but for production orders it is not visible
What should be the previlige for the explosion button on the production order.
I have tried some but its not updating so later on I have temporarily added the previlige "Maintain Production orders" which is giving additional rights

Thanks,
V

    Hi,

The Explosion button is of type action which is not used in the security diagnostics, but it is part of the recording to find the technical name. You can also get the menu item name from Visual Studio.

To know which security objects are created you can search for the action menu item ReqTransExplosionAction in Visual Studio and find the related roles information.
    - Privilege: Maintain explosion profile (ReqTransExplosionMaintain)
    - Privilege: View explosion profile (ReqTransExplosionView)

    hi Adis,

thanks for the detail explanation .
The security diagnostics option at the form level also gives same results of which security previlige/duty is having access.
The problem here is that I have that thing assigned to the user but its not showing up .
The same form is opening from the planned orders with same rights.

    Thanks,
    V

    Hey,

You could try to use the task recorder to identify the menu\display item.

This is from another post of mine, so the screenshots is referred to something else, but the procedure is the same.

Start with "Create recording" just before you press the button.

After the button is pressed, stop the recording and download the axtr file

Go here and open the axtr file

Once you are done with it. You need to search a little bit under the privileges (1). Usually "Maintain" and\prod orders you will find the according menu item (2).
If you click on the menu item you will see the permission (3).
If you click on the menu item (2), you will have the option to "Add reference" to a privilege. Its a button that appears where you see "Remove reference(s)", "Copy" etc. in the screenshot below.

Another way is to check the roles\duties\privileges of a user that is able to perform the action. By browsing through the privileges you should be able to identify the according menu item by looking for something like "Maintain" and\or production order or BOM.

    Hope it helps, Adis
