How to block an over reception using the landed cost ?

Hello experts !

I am facing the following problem:
We receive goods using the landed cost module (voyage).
Reception is done through a scan (mobile application), via an item menu "goods in transit item receiving and put away".

Sometimes, the operator scans the item's barcode when the system requests a quantity.
This leads to an overreception of a 13-digit number. My question is : Is it a mean to block an overreception in the case of the landed cost ?

When we receive a simple purchase order (without going through a voyage), then it is possible to block over receipt by desactivating the following button. But if we want to accept overdelivery, we can activate it and then define tolerances in the released product (or in the purchase order line).

If the tolerances are exceeded, then the system will block over reception and no transaction will be written.

In the case of landed cost, I was able to define tolerances in the menu Landed cost > over/under setup > over/under tolerance. Unfortunately, when I receive parts exceeding tolerances, the system does not block. It displays a warning. A second validation overcomes this warning.

Furthermore, we can notice that in the menu item "Goods in transit item receiving and put away", there is a drop-down list for the "over tolerance" field. This list contains only one choice: "warning". Do you think that in a future version we will be able to have other choices ?
Do you know what this field is for?

Thank you for your help ! :)

    Hello Valentin,

It seems for me that you tried all the parameters. If the above configuration does not work, than my advice would be to raise a support ticket in LCS to Microsoft.

    Best regards,

    Hi Ingrid,

I was hoping that version 10.0.41 would bring new features in this direction but unfortunately this is not the case.

    Kind Regards

    Hello everyone !

I come back to this post with (I hope !) good news for you.
I think I've found a workaround thanks to the work template.
In the edit query of the work template that is used during the Goods in transit reception, I have set up the following criteria on the quantity :

Thanks to this criteria, I expect that the system will ignore this work template if the quantity that is about to be received exceeds the quantity of 10 pieces.
And because this work template is the only one defined for the "Good in transit" work order type, the system should block somewhere.

    Let's make the following scenario:
We place a PO of 5 pieces for the Item A.
We create a voyage that contains this PO and we invoice this voyage.
During the reception process, we try to receive a quantity of 11 pieces.
First, the system give us the warning that we are about to complete an over reception of 1pc (it's because of the setup in the mobile device menu item I think).

Then, if we try to validate again and override the warning, we have the following message :

We can continue to validate as long as we want and the system will block because he can't find any work template to use to generates the GIT receiving work.

Note : I have done another example with a PO of 5 pieces and tried to receive 7 pieces and it worked. The system well generates an over reception of 2 pieces.

I hope this answer will help you and I wish you a wonderful holiday season !

    Best regards
