We have a three main areas / business within out company. Are we able to set them up as separate instances inside FO even though they all are under the same tax ID number?

Ex: We want the following separate instances inside FO but connect all three to the same tax ID number:

Building Services
Construction
Manufacturing

Hi Ferguson,

In theory, it is possible, but you need to be aware of many possible caveats and maybe requirements for customizations. As Ramit mentioned, a thorough analysis is required. What are the number sequence requirements for invoices and vouchers if they belong to the same legal entity? What type of consolidated reporting do you need?

Have you considered using a financial dimension/ organization unit for the separation?

Hi,

You can do this and you can maintain three separate Financial Dimensions under one legal entity, however my concern is from solution point of view, if these are different business model which means under one legal entity you need to manage these different solution, which is possible however need full impact analysis because one solution can impact other.
