Custom scripts in PROD

Hi team,
 
As per my knowledge, I know that without downtime in PROD,we can execute custom scripts for data fix like insert, update and delete.
 
Am I correct?
 
Is there any limitations of custom scripts to execute in PROD.
 
Pls advise. thanks!

    Yes, you are correct you can run the custom script without downtime in Prod but I would suggest you to before running direclty in Prod. Kindly check the same in Dev and UAT.

    Yes, we have few limitation with custom scripts and which table you trying to use in your custom scripts.

    Yes it's correct, custom Scripts can be executed in Production without downtime in Dynamics 365 This is the whole purpose of the feature to allow emergency data fixes INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE directly in PROD without needing a full deployment or environment downtime, to run a custom script in PROD without downtime, I recommend validating it in the Development and UAT environments before executing it directly in Production, Create an X++ class extending SysOperationServiceBase, Upload via LCS → Environment → Maintain → Run custom X++ scripts, Test in Sandbox first, Get approval from a second user, Run in PROD — no downtime needed,X++ only one-time execution, no self-approval, DELETE is irreversible.
